First Impressions by Amber Janchus (Dickison)
When I first walked out of the airport in Bangkok I felt humidity hit my face and the immediate heat of the city even at 11:30 pm. Stepping out of my comfort zone not knowing anyone and I had never been out of the country. Walking into the chapel and the guest house the first night and talking to everyone I immediately felt at home.
My first day walking around the neighborhood I really couldn’t believe I had made it to Bangkok. The city feels light and beautiful busy with people and the sounds of cars, mopeds and vendors selling their goods. The red light district even during the day felt like walking into a dark cave where anything goes and everyone is prey.
A bright light shines four stories above the streets of Patpong 1. Rahab is the light in the darkness of sin, lust and envy.
