Once Stained – By Kaitlin Mccormick

The other day I had heard that there is a Thai saying, “once stained always stained.” I believe many of the women relate to this saying. They had been stained by many things. They have been stained with shame, guilt, lust, addiction, greed, and pain. Seeing their faces, my heart breaks for them. I want them to know that we have all been stained but that there is hope, mercy and love in Christ. We can be washed clean by God’s amazing grace. They don’t have to live in that shame anymore because God will make them worthy. They don’t have to fill guilty because He is easy to forgive. They don’t have to work in lust but rather they can share this unconditional love of Christ. They don’t have to battle addiction as they can be set free from all the stains they have had placed on them by others and themselves.

We have all been stained. Its humbling to know that God loves these women no less or no more than myself or anyone. We have all been stained. We just know that with Christ its not a once stained always stained. Its a once stained, always  forgive. Once saved, always free. Once made, always loved. What a great God we serve who is always ready to redeem us no matter who we are, where we come from, or what we’ve done. God is the same all the time and to everyone. We need to be the same and love others all time and to everyone.
