A smile.

Such a simple, yet powerful gesture. And don't forget the warm feeling in your stomach when a smile is returned.

While in a foreign country with a big communication barrier and a way of life Westerners struggle to comprehend, a smile is all one has. We have a choice, and with the Spirit of God filling us, this team chooses to smile.

My experience of entering a bar and receiving a returned smile increased my passion to help the oppressed. I pray the woman I smiled at felt the tingle in her tummy, and that God shone on her for that brief moment. The most prominent thing Iv'e learned this far on this trip is how ministry is at any time, any place, and with anyone. A simple smile is ministry--and a powerful one-- with prayer.
