The curtains held, you walk inside

What little comforts left behind

Music blares inside the room

Painful truths now all in view

Hungry eyes are all around

In hopes that what they seek is found

Girls paraded on display

Just trying to all pay their way

A heaviness felt on your heart

A different vibe right from the start

All victims each in their own way

Something ... someone that makes them stay

Some there because it’s all they know

All mere acts in the same show

Others lied to, tricked, and forced

With no concern and no remorse

Caught in a system hard to break

Right from the start debts to be paid

Never knowing what’s in store

Just that it seems there’s always more

More money due more men to please

So many eyes yet no one sees.
